Our mission

Turning weekend tacticians into tournament finishers.

We started ThunderSiege in 2019 as a Discord for six friends arguing about castle defence openings. Today it's a working blog and clubhouse where over 4,000 UK players learn positional play, review replays, and meet up on Thursday nights in Shoreditch. Every guide we publish is play-tested at the table before it goes live.

What we offer

Programmes built around real games.

Siege Fundamentals course — £39 +

A six-week self-paced course covering opening theory, resource tempo, and defensive castling. Includes 24 annotated replays and a private feedback thread. New cohorts start the first Monday of each month.

1:1 replay coaching — £55 / hour +

Bring one of your losses and a coach will walk it back turn by turn over video call. Sessions run 60 minutes with a written action list afterwards. Booked slots are Tuesday to Friday, 6–9pm GMT.

Thursday club night — free +

Open tables at our Curtain Road clubhouse every Thursday from 7pm. All levels welcome, boards and coffee provided. Turn up solo or bring a rival — we pair newcomers with a regular for their first game.

Seasonal ThunderSiege Cup — £15 entry +

A quarterly Swiss-format tournament capped at 48 players, held on-site in Shoreditch. Entry covers lunch and a printed pairings booklet, and the prize pool grows with the field. Finals are streamed for the members' channel.
